Sulfuric acid is produced using sulfur dioxide (SO2) that is generated during the copper smelting process. Sulfuric acid (H2SO4) produced using the Lurgi and Monsanto double contact process is recognized for its computer-controlled accuracy, quality, and process. Thanks to its excellent quality, LS MnM's sulfuric acid products are used widely for fertilizers, metal-leaching processes, and other industrial purposes (e.g. wastewater treatment). In 1996, they were approved for use as food additives due to their low content of impurities. The sulfuric acid manufacturing facility of LS MnM started its operation in 1979. With the completion of the second sulfuric acid plant in 1997 and major process improvements in 2008, it now has an annual production capacity of 1,925,000 tons.

Liquid anhydrous sulfurous acid (L-SO2) used in textile bleaching and coloring agents is generally produced by burning sulfur. However, our Liquid anhydrous sulfurous acid(L-SO2) is produced by reacting anhydrous sulfuric acid gas (SO3) generated in a sulfuric acid plant with sulfur (S). We are the only company in Korea that owns this technology, which allows us to produce products that are 99.9% in purity.

LS-Ferrosand is made by rapidly cooling the material produced from combining iron powder and silica stone with high-pressure water in a solution state, and then granularizing it. LS-Ferrosand is regarded as an alternative for natural aggregates due to its excellent environmental stability and lack of salt. We have obtained environmental labeling certificates for concrete and caisson fill materials. Higher in iron content and lower in impurities compared to the competitors, our products are in popular demand among customers.

LS MnM operates a waste acid plant where we purify and neutralize waste acid generated from smelting, sulfuric acid, electrochemical, and precious metal processes. During this process, gypsum is produced by dehydrating the gypsum slurry made using calcium carbonate. All of LS MnM's gypsum is used as a cement setting retardant.

We produce LS-Precious Sand products by removing impurities from the PbO Sand formed in the precious metal melting process through leaching. With Pb content of 40-60% and trace amounts of Au and Ag, LS-Precious sand is generally used as a raw material for refining operations for the recovery of valuable metals (Pb, Au, Ag, etc.).
